It is our mission is to connect, inform, educate and inspire those that give to the sector every day. Through our portfolio of publications and events, Seatrade Maritime seeks to bring together and serve the needs of the global maritime community.
Seatrade Maritime History
Seatrade Maritime makes up one part of the Seatrade business, the other fulfilled by Seatrade Cruise. Seatrade was founded in 1970 by Greek-born Themistocles Vokos. That same year, Seatrade published the first issue Seatrade Maritime Review. Three years later, the company launched its first B2B event, the Money and Ship conference. In 2000, Seatrade introduced a cruise news website to feed its audience the latest headlines and industry insight. The maritime equivalent, Seatrade Maritime News, premiered in 2013. Shortly after this, in 2014, Seatrade was acquired by leading media giant, UBM.
Seatrade plays host to a number of regional offices in Dubai and Singapore, as well as representatives in various maritime hubs across the world, but the company’s Head Office is based in the heart of Colchester, United Kingdom.
